From Mike's email:
--------------
HPL will be changing the way in which we accept checks and credit cards from our customers. All HPL Locations will be receiving TeleCheck Electronic Check Acceptance equipment in the coming weeks. This equipment and service will allow us to accept and process checks and credit cards quickly, safely, and easily. This service converts a paper check into an electronic item at the point of sale; checks and credit cards will now be handled in a similar manner.
---------------
Both Frank and Meyer will be getting their machine on 11/8. Meyer at 9:30 and Frank at 3:30.
Staff will be trained on it when it is installed and be responsible for training everyone else.

Time punches on KRONOS
If you miss a punch for *any* reason, please let me know via email.
I will need to know
1) Why you missed the punch. (Internet timed out, you forgot, whatever)
2) What time was supposed to be entered.
Also, if you miss a punch (say you forgot to clock in at 1 from lunch), do *not* panic and clock in two hours later. Its easier for me to just add the punch in KRONOS.
ALSO
Please do not clock in early. Some people are building up too much 'comp' time that has not been authorized.
Thanks,
Brandon

Holidays on a day you are Scheduled as OFF
Hello everyone
If you are scheduled to be off on Monday, you are not going to get shorted a vacation day.
According to Gloria Edmund, if an employee is scheduled to work on a holiday, they will receive a ‘holiday bucket’ for eight hours. This is time that must be taken within the next 120 days.
If you are scheduled off for Monday the 5th, you will need to work the rest of the week as normal. When you want to take time off for your holiday, please submit it via KRONOS and I will try to work it into the schedule.
Thanks,
Brandon Pope

Individual Study Rooms at Frank
Please remember,
The individual study rooms at Frank can only be reserved for the current day and the next day the building is open.
No one is allowed to reserved them for an entire week.
Also, there is an expectation that lights will need to be kept on at all times in these rooms.
If anyone asks, this is a new policy and it is designed to keep people from monopolizing the rooms.
Thanks,
Brandon Pope
